Marketing Communications Director (Maternity Cover)

Totême is looking for a marketing and communications professional to join our team in Stockholm. In this role, you will develop, manage, and execute the global marketing and communications strategy, to build the brand, extend the reach, and build awareness. The Marketing Communications Director is a member of the management team and will play a key role in Totême’s ongoing growth journey. This is a full-time, 12-month maternity cover.


The role

  • Further develop Totême as a modern, unique, and exciting international player in the digital fashion and lifestyle market
  • Create, manage, and implement a cohesive marketing and communications strategy, heading the communications department (and other relevant teams), and overseeing its execution
  • Oversee the brand building to extend our reach and build awareness
  • Ensure consistency across all touchpoints globally
  • Set clear objectives, deliver results, and follow-up
  • Act as the company’s communications specialist, advising on techniques, tools, and platforms
  • Collaborate closely with our founders and contribute to management with knowledge and analysis
  • Spread knowledge internally and drive associated development projects
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the marketing communications team. Attract and recruit new team members as the company expands in Sweden and internationally

Your profile

  • A creative leader with a deep understanding of digital and physical landscapes
  • Experience from leading and developing a strong entrepreneurial organization with a focus on expansion, preferably within a similar fashion and lifestyle brand
  • Experience managing marketing teams across PR, campaign activation, social media, and content
  • Demonstrated experience of conceptualizing and executing impactful, engaging creative across digital, social, and retail
  • The ability to understand business objectives to guide execution
  • The ability to articulate and execute a strategic/360 creative brief
  • Experience from building and developing a successful team
  • Experience from working with a strong lifestyle brand
