People & Culture Director (Maternity Cover)

Totême is looking for a People & Culture Director to join the team in Stockholm. As People & Culture Director, your main responsibilities will be to develop, manage and execute Totême’s People strategy and handle all operational HR matters. You will play a key role in Totême’s ongoing growth journey and be part of the management team. This is a full-time, 10-month maternity cover position.


The role

  • Further develop Totême as a modern, unique and exciting international player in the digital fashion and lifestyle market
  • Further develop Totême as an attractive employer
  • Further develop Totême’s People & Culture Strategy
  • Be responsible for all HR matters ranging from recruitment, payroll and benefits, performance and development, company culture, working environment and labor law
  • Set clear objectives, deliver results and follow-up
  • Work proactively with the business and line managers to build people management capabilities and help them achieve results through their People plans
  • Establish an innovative employer brand, consistent employee induction and ongoing experience
  • Proactively coordinate efficient staff communication (formal and informal), across continents
  • Act as the talent expert across the organization, staying on top of trends within talent management and engagement, sharing best practices and key findings
  • Lead, guide and coach your direct report, the Office Manager

Your profile

  • Experience from leading and developing a strong entrepreneurial organization with a focus on expansion, preferably within a fashion and lifestyle brand
  • Exceptional communicator, both written and verbal. Skilled at developing rapport and managing conflict, resulting in productive relations with individuals and groups
  • Able to lead change and drive engagement, with a proven track record of successfully raising the People agenda as a priority
  • Proven record of positively managing international labor relations and culture, specifically during organizational change and development
  • Proactive and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the People & Culture agenda
  • Ability to execute on multiple projects with extensive detail coordination
  • Comfortable covering a wide set of tasks, from strategic to administrative
  • Experience from working with HR systems, preferably BambooHR and Fortnox
  • Experience from working at a multinational company is crucial
